People are constantly comparing Death Note's Light to Code Geass's Lelouch- and why I can see why due to them both coming out in *shudder* English cartoon network/adult swim at the same time.... no.

1) Light is a bastard.

2) Light is physically fit

3) Light makes it a point to kill off everyone around them or use them up like candy flavored condoms till they are dead.

4) Light is selfish

5) Light never feels the consequences of his actions until the end- even then he was not nor was he ever sorry for the pain he inflicted on others.

Also- Light is a self centered bastard.

Lelouch-

1) Is a nerdy little geek that squeeks- but will not admits this ever leaving his sister to admit it for him and to tell every one she knows.

2) Has the physical fitness of a wet noodle.

3) Has his own army.

4) As much as he says he'll use people like condoms, and as selfish as he acts- he dose not follow through with that intent in mind. It happens- yes, but not because he planed it that way. That whole over sights/mistakes thing he dose? Yah. That's him being foolish, not selfish.

5) He feels the pain of his actions, he suffers the consequences of his doings.

By the anime story formulas Light was blessed to die the second he picked up that note book to become a god.

Lelouh- There is the 'supposedly beautify/dramatic opera' ending loop hole that will end with him well...dead. But with as much suffering as he is doing cuz of his own screw ups- meh. I don't see him dead. There's too much that would be left unfinished and unresolved with that ending and so far the anime has been good at resolving things to a point. At worst they'll do the whole never finish the story/cop out unresolved ending.
